As’salamuAlaikum Wa RahmatAllahi Wa Barakatuhu

(Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)

The Woman I admire
wearing her attire
hiding her figure,
thus, curbing my desire..

The Woman I desire
fearing the (hell) Fire
is diligent in her prayers
for the rewards of life hereafter…

The Woman I encounter
is beyond bother
with the keen race
to beautify the face!

The Woman I ask
from dawn to dusk
is busy with ALLAH
murmuring, subhan’allah, subhan’allah, subhana’allah

The Woman I observe
certainly deserves
better respect
than what she expects

The Woman I listen
is very, very stern
for her it is a must
to control one’s lust

But the Women I see
sad to say, most wear “minis”
alone I lament… “VIAGRA on heels”?
though they are not made for this!

The Woman I met
boasting her beauty
most probably by surgery?
but does she know it is all temporary?

Hence, the Woman I know
is advised to follow
the sunnah of our beloved Rassol Allah
from head to toe….

The Woman I judge
often bears a grudge
EQUALITY, she requests (or rather protests)
but please bear in mind ALLAH’S inquest!

The Women I hurt (by this article)
please do not curse or smut
for it is better I warned
before all is gone….

As’salamuAlaikum Wa RahmatAllahi Wa Barakatuhu

(Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)

As you watch me wearing a veil,
Your wrapped in intimidation,
Boasting your “liberation”,
Thinking I’m dominated,
And I’m uneducated.

But let me tell you the truth,
I’m an intelligent person,
a person just like you,
Just wanting to get through,
With life,
No strife,
I have my own mind,
If you studied yourself you would find,
The Qu’ran states we’re all equal and Islam is my fortress,
So your constant stereotyping is just pointless.

So please stop demoralizing us,
In Allah we do trust,
And that is our goal, to please our Lord,
Enough with your claims, so absurd,
Forced? Subjugated? Oppressed? Just empty rumours from ignorant voices,
Our longing for heaven in the hereafter is the reason for our OWN choices.

The bitter reality you can’t face,
Is that you’re the ones in a corrupted race,
Always under pressure for your looks and charms,
Always in a hurry to be in the latest fashion,
Mini skirts and see-thru shirts, now that is repression!

You can’t even look past my scarf,
You make me laugh,
So why do you look at me so pettily?
The media and newspapers just judge shallowly,
You are mere humans like the rest,
Who are you to judge? Life is just a test!

As’salamuAlaikum Wa RahmatAllahi Wa Barakatuhu

(Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)

I am a Muslim woman

Feel free to ask me why
When I walk
I walk with dignity
When I speak
I do not lie

I am a Muslim woman
Not all of me you’ll see
But what you should appreciate
Is that the choice I make is free

I’m not plagued with depression
I’m neither cheated nor abused
I don’t envy other women
And I’m certainly not confused

Note, I speak perfect English
Et un petit peu de Francais aussie
I’m majoring in Linguistics
So you need not speak slowly

I run my own small business
Every cent I earn is mine
I drive my Chevy to school & work
And no, that’s not a crime!

You often stare as I walk by
You don’t understand my veil
But peace and power I have found
As I am equal to any male!

I am a Muslim woman
So please don’t pity me
For God has guided me to truth
And now I’m finally free!

Salaat

As’salaamu Alaikum Wa RahmatAllah Wa Barakatuhu

(Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)

Salaat is a basic pillar of islam
It is mentioned again and again in the Quran
The importance of prayer is in seven hundred places
But in the mosque,do you see many young faces?

Praying in the mosque gives 27 times the reward
Pray with the intention that you’re pleasing your Lord
When you walk to the mosque, just remember within
You gain a reward and you’re losing a sin

For every step towards your destination
This is a blessing from Allah swt to his creation
The Quran has foretold, that before you are dead
‘say your prayers before your prayers are said’

For missing Fajr at the start of the day

the glow of the face is taken away
the punishment for missing the salaat of Zohar
there will be no blessing from your income no more

For missing Asr, the middle prayer of the day
the strength of the body is taken away
by missing maghrib, remember one thing
you will not be benefited by your offspring

For missing Ishaa at the end of the day
the peace of your sleep will be taken away
while seeing elders pray at the mosque door
remember as a young person, your reward is 70 times more

Read salaat punctually, read it with care
on judgement day, we will be asked about prayer
that’s the first question, so take this advice
salaat is the key to paradise

Spread this word to muslim sisters and brothers
salaat will separate muslims from others
salaat is a blessing which Allah swt gave
it will intercede and protect us in the grave

When it comes eventually, to the day of rising
the believers body washed by wudu will be shining
for the believers who are regular in offering salaat
it becomes a light of guidance on the pul-siraat

Don’t miss the prayer asr at any cost
it will be like your family and wealth is lost
the ayat-ul-kursi after fard, should be read
it will lead you to paradise (insha Allah) after you’re dead

Not reading salaat will lead you to hell
surrounded by serpants in a deep well
read your salaat whilst still in your prime
and read the durood shareef in your spare time

You’ll get ten rewards, the Lord (insha Allah) will accept your pleas
and you’ll be closer to Allah swt by ten more degrees
so embrace islam with all your heart
and remember the key is reading salaat.

COME 2 ISLAM!!!

As’salaamu Alaikum Wa RahmatAllah Wa Barakatuhu

(Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)

We were once lost in the gloom of ignorance

Plunged deep in the heart of unawareness

Worshipping dumb idols made of stone

“Who would resurrect us, flesh and bone?”

We would shed blood for petty reasons

Remaining in war throughout the seasons

We would bury baby girls, no mercy did we feel

Nothing seemed cruel to those hearts of steel

And just when it seemed that we were doomed

In front of our eyes our destruction loomed

Allah, the Merciful and the Almighty

Sent us Muhammad.. .a Guidance, a Mercy

He brought us out of darkness into light

He guided us, he showed us wrong from right

As we submitted to Allah, Iman filled our hearts

That’s where the great story of our Triumph starts

Under his leadership we conquered the world

With all of its treasures.. .at our feet unfurled

With Imaan in our hearts so strong so bright

No one could defeat us, such was our might

The strongest authority one had ever heard

Our only mission.. .to spread Allah’s Word

We were good Muslims.. .with patience and piety

We were One Ummah.. .all brothers with sincerity

But now those blessed days are all but gone.

Now things have been turned upside down

We abandoii

Muslims and Islam are looked down upon.

Where is our Glory? Where is our Dawn?

The world is killing us, tearing us apart

They are eating away at our very heart

We are despised, reviled.. .we’re humiliated Repent to

We’ve lost our honor, we’re subjugated

“They will invite each other to attack you,” he said

“Just as to a feast,” he foretold years ahead

“But why, O Messenger of Allah?” they said.

“Love of the Dunya and hatred of death,”

What will it take… for you to realize?

What’s going to make you open your eyes?

What will make you hear the children crying?

Do you not see your brothers and sisters dying?

How can you remain silent when you see the aggression

Why are you not moved when you see the oppression

Did you, O Dear Muslim, ever ask… “Why?”

Why are we so low, though once sky high?

Its because we strayed away from Allah

Its because we forgot the laws of Shari’ah

Its because we forgot there’s a Day of Judgment

We just got lost in the worldly enjoyment

We followed our desires, we neglected the prayer

We abandoned the Sunnah….we just didn’t care

But even in these times of shame and desperation

YOU have the power to change the situation

If each one of you will change for the better

Our strength will surely be put back together

Repent to Allah… .come back to the Sunnah

Mend your ways… .that will renovate the Ummah

Keep the Qur’an close to your side

Make the Prophet your beloved Guide

And in this tough time of hardship and despair

Don’t forget the ultimate power of prayer

Allah says, “O You who believe!”

If you help Allah, surely He will relieve…

All of your burdens…. all of your sorrow

Soon there will be a brighter tomorrow

So get up O Muslims! Time to take a stance!

If Allaah is with us, no one stands a chance!

Haven’t we been humiliated enough?

Hasn’t there been plenty of rough?

Why are you asleep? Wake up O Ummah!

Isn’t it time to come back to Allah?

As’salaamu Alaikum Wa RahmatAllah Wa Barakatuhu

(Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were Allah’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If Allah allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would ‘cripple’ us into complacency and lack of spirit.

We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never “fly”!

I asked for Strength..
And Allah gave me Difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for Wisdom…
And Allah gave me Problems to solve.

I asked for Prosperity…
And Allah gave me Brain and Brawn to work.

I asked for Courage…..
And Allah gave me Danger to overcome.

I asked for Love…
And Allah gave me Troubled people to help.

I asked for Favours…
And Allah gave me Opportunities.

I received nothing I wanted ….
I received everything I needed!

SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allah Hu Akbar

As’salamu Alaikum Wa RahmatAllahi Wa Barakatuhu

(Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)

Love her …when she sips on your coffee or tea. She only wants to make sure it tastes just right for you

Love her…when she is jealous. Out of all the men she can have, she chose you

Love her…when she has annoying little habits that drives you nuts. You have them too.

Love her…when her cooking is bad. She tries.

Love her…when she looks scary in the morning. She always fixes herself up again.

Love her…when she makes you watch corny love dramas while the sport is on.

She wants to share these moments with you.

Love her…when she asks if she looks fat. Your opinion counts, so tell her she’s beautiful.

Love her…when she looks beautiful. She’s yours so appreciate her.

Love her…when she spends hours to get ready. She only wants to look her best for you.

Love her…when she buys you gifts you don’t like. Smile and tell her its what you’ve always wanted.

Love her…when she cries for absolutely nothing. Don’t ask, tell her its going to be okay

Love her…when she suffers from PMS. Buy chocolate, rub her feet and just chat to her (trust me this works!)

Love her…when whatever you do is not pleasing. It happens and will pass

Love her…when she stains your clothes. You needed a new shirt anyway

Love her…when she argues. She only wants to make things right

All these things form part of a Woman’s Character.

Woman are part of your life and should be treated as the queen

Take time to make her feel Special in Every Way.

As’salamu Alaikum Wa RahmatAllahi Wa Barakatuhu

(Allah’s peace, mercy and blessings be upon you)

****************************************************

There was a time in my youth,

When Islam was only a custom.

They said “say La Ilaha IllAllah,..

And pray, you’ll go to Heaven.”

****************************************************

Ah, how simple, no struggle in this,

Just a word, and simple act.

Thereafter I’m absorbed in this world again,

With my ‘assured’ place in Paradise intact.

*****************************************************

But this was not to be my fate

For ALLAH chose to guide my heart.

I learnt of a man who struggled so hard

When his mission was from the start.

******************************************************

The story of someone who had morals,

Spoke gently, kindness he knew.

Never fearing to say what’s right,

His conviction in ISLAM was true.

******************************************************

The touch of his hand was as soft as silk

To comfort a crying child.

To mend his clothes, or do the chores,

Never complaining, he always smiled.

******************************************************

A living he made with his bare hands,

The same that held his mighty sword.

Valour shone from the edge of his blade,

******************************************************

His smell was always of musk,

And cleanliness he kept at his best.

Stark contrast with the heroes of today,

Who stink of beer and sweat.

******************************************************

He held the hands of his companions.

Unashamed to play with many children.

So modest, so humble, a perfect example,

That strangers could not recognise him.

******************************************************

His eyes slept little for nights were precious,

His prayers he treasured much greater.

To pray Tahajjud in the depths of night,

Seeking forgiveness, and nearness to his Creator.

******************************************************

He broke his tooth for me at Uhud,

And bled for me at Ta’if.

He cried for me, tears of concern,

Just so I could have this belief.

******************************************************

His enemies admired his teachings,

Uniting every religion, every clan.

Till ISLAM came to every corner of the world,

O, but indeed he was only a man.

******************************************************

To own a house, or build his wealth

Was not his main priority.

To establish ISLAM was more essential,

To bring us under a Higher Authority.

******************************************************

Don’t you want him to plea for your case,

When before ALLAH-The Judge-you stand?

Don’t you wish to be around his fountain,

A burning desire to drink from his hand?

******************************************************

So I love him more than all creation, My Leader,

my Humble Prophet Muhammad (SAWS)

was a mercy to all mankind,

And to me, he is

************ MY BELOVED ! ************
